Head Coach Randy Dalzell announced the signing of two-time Moroccan Junior National 1500m Champion Walid Jarfani. Jarfani is 18 years old and graduated from ALLAL AL FASI Qualifying Secondary School on June 29, 2022. He won the 2021 and 2022 Moroccan Junior National Athletics Championships 1500m races and is also a very competitive 800m runner. Jarfani placed 5th in the World Secondary School Athletics Championships 1500m in France and 3rd in the Arab Junior Athletics Championships 1500m in Tunisia. His bests are 3:46 in the 1500 and 1:51 in the 800m. He will be a freshman business administration major starting in January 2023 at Texas Wesleyan University. He will compete in all three sports indoor track and field, outdoor track and field and cross country.
